On The Road Again

9:58 PM

Lately I've been having to travel quite a bit for work - just short two-day trips - but still requires a bit of packing. I thought I would share the things I've been throwing in my make up bag lately for when I have to head across the province! (PS. Trust me, it's not as glamourous and I like to pretend it to be, I spend most of my days in work boots).

A) Covergirl Pressed Powder for Sensitive Skin - I'm not the biggest fan of Covergirl, but I've been using this powder for a couple of years. I find it does a good job to control oil without caking. I don't think I'll buy it again though, I just bring it with me to use it up.

B) Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful - I have completely given in to the Tarte hype. These blushes are so lovely and stay on all day. This is my go-to everyday blush.

C) Benefit Porefessional Primer - I'm new to the world of primers, but I've taken a liking to this one. It's good to smooth out the skin and keep my foundation on.

D) Urban Decay 24/7 Liners - This liner combo is perfect for travelling because it's two-in-one (black and brown). This formulation of liner is also my all time favourite. I don't wear liner everyday but I like to have it with me just in case I feel like it.

E) Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - I think this is a great drugstore concealer. Due to its yellow undertones it doesn't do a good job at hiding my dark circles but it's great for redness and brightening up the face. It's cheap, creamy and provides good coverage.

F) Revlon Shimmer Cube thingy - that's not the actual name but I have renamed it to that cause I like it. It's a soft pink highlighter that can be used on top of blush or alone. I've been enjoying it quite a bit lately. However, use caution! It is quite shimmery.

G) If you are reading this blog I don't think this needs explaining ;)

H) L'oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter Pen - I get very bad dark circles and this little pen is my eye brightening saviour. It is pretty sheer so I usually use it under another concealer, but the salmon tone is awesome for hiding the black eye look.

I) L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush - I like to carry this with me in case I go out to dinner or something like that. A pressed pigment that is a beautiful beige/pinky/bronze dream. It's great if you have blue eyes! And is also a cult favourite.

J) Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep - Read my last blog post for more details!

K) Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in RSVP - I bought this on a whim at a Sephora sale a year ago and I have used it every day since. No, really! I'm not exaggerating. This is my perfect eyeshadow - as a base or alone. Out of all the make up I own, it is probably my most used product. Also, it has never dried out or creased on me! Yay Benefit!

L) Maybelline The Rocket Mascara - My favourite mascara lately.

M) Rimmel Scandalize Kohl Kajal - I love to use this light beige colour on my bottom waterline to open up my eyes. Thanks YouTube for filling me in on this trick.

N) Urban Decay Eyeshadow Duo - I'm not sure why I threw this in there! Since I brought the Naked 3 and all. I love this though! Urban Decay are the wizards of eyes. Yep.

O) Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Fairly Medium - I got colour matched in Sephora the other day using their new Colour IQ thingy (so cool!). And it recommended that I try this shade of BM, soooo I bought it. I don't like super heavy coverage which makes Bare Minerals probably one of my favourite foundation lines out there. It's so easy to throw on and isn't as messy as it may seem!

P) Benefit Box Blush in Rockateur -  I hate the packaging of this blush, but love everything else about it! I've been wearing it almost every day. It's always tough to choose between this one and Blissful.

Hope you enjoyed my random assortment! What do you bring with you on trips?
