After a busy week at work, I had four days off (woo!) for Easter weekend, and I wanted to take advantage of it!

On Friday, we spent the day at Tyson's parents house for his family Easter dinner. His sister-in-law is pregnant and is the cutest lady ever! I can't wait to spoil their daughter. After returning home, we ended the day by watching some Game of Thrones (the new season is so good already!).

On Saturday, after an Easter dinner at Tyson's grandmothers house, which is about 2 1/2 hours away, we stopped by the zoo. Oaklawn Farm Zoo had just opened for the season and I was eager to visit the animals! The monkeys are my favourite, oh and the deer! We finished the day with a trip to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant (even though we had already had turkey) and watching 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' (which was very entertaining).

Sunday was spent relaxing at my parents house (we are house sitting), followed by visiting the Museum of Natural History in Halifax. I had never been before, so we thought it would be a nice way to spend the day. We capped off our Easter Sunday with a walk along the Halifax waterfron, some yummy burgers at a local restaurant, and watching 'August: Osage County' (which was also great).

On Monday I went shopping and out to dinner with my longtime friend Grace. We went to Piatto, which is an amaaaaazing pizza restaurant that originated in St. John's, Newfoundland (my hometown and second home!).

Overall, it was a wonderful and much needed weekend. If only it could last forever!

What did you do to celebrate Easter?
