Get Ready With Me: Simple, Long Lasting Makeup

3:39 PM

Im no professional makeup artist, but I thought I'd bring you along while I do my quick makeup routine if I want my makeup to last more than a few hours. I'm heading to my moms for dinner tonight and then to see Interstellar (woo!) so I won't be home til late, and I'd rather not turn into an oily mess! So this is how I try to fight it.

First step! I primed my face using the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (I like to use this multiple times) and Benefit's Porefessional Primer.

Next I applied and blended in my under eye concealer with my finger and Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Since I was skipping out on foundation, I applied RIMMEL LONDON Wake Me Up Concealer - Light / Medium to any red spots and blemishes on my face and blended.

Next, I set my concealer(s) with the RIMMEL LONDON Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder - Transparent and gave another spritz of the UD setting spray.

I used the beautiful Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure, followed by adding a pop of Hourglass Blush in Incandescant Electra to the apples of my cheeks.

For highlighter, I used the Becca Liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. I find this lasts a lot longer than any powder highlight.

Onto eyes. I applied my favourite eyeshadow base, Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in RSVP, and used a little bit of the same blush I used on my cheeks to add some definition to the crease of my eyes.

To add a bit of highlight to the inner eye, I applied UD eyeshadow in Sin, followed by applying my current favourite mascara.

I finished off the eyes with Benefit's Gimme Brow, which both sets and tints the brows, and applied one final spritz of the setting spray.

Finally, I used Rimmel Exaggerate Automatic Lip Liner Eastend Snob to add a bit of long lasting colour to my lips, while making the most attractive faces...

And voila!
