Ever heard of Indeed Labs?
This innovative and affordable skincare company pride themselves on using science to "challenge the status quo of beauty." Essentially, all of their products are highly concentrated with ingredients that are great for the skin.
By now you can probably tell that I am a fan. But why? Well, they make a little product called Hydraluron that has rescued my skin for the past two winters.
This tiny tube of serum packs a punch in the moisture department. It contains pure hyaluronic acid, a hydrating ingredient that can hold up to 1000x it's weight in water. It claims to be a glue for your moisturizer, allowing your skin to absorb and maintain hydration more efficiently.
When I first heard about Hydraluron on dermatologist Caroline Hiron's blog, I wondered if it was a whole bunch of skincare hocus pocus, so I decided to give it a try and see for myself. Well, there is truth behind the skincare magic! After a few uses, I noticed my skin feeling plump, smooth and moisturized for way longer than if I simply applied my moisturizer. I have since repurchased it many times and especially reach for it during in the colder months.
Another bonus? It costs only $20, rivaling similar products that cost 2 and 3 times as much. And it's available at Shoppers Drug Mart if you live in Canada!
Whether your skin type is oily, dry or combination, I would definitely recommend giving this a try to help battle the winter skin blues. It is rare that my skincare routine doesn't involve these three steps: wash, apply Hydraluron, moisturize.
