Sephora Shoppin'

6:56 PM

January is when you are "technically" supposed to save your money, but I some how ended up doing a wee bit of shopping. It may have had something to do with the fact that I live a five minute drive from the mall. Very dangerous when combined with boredom.

I received a Sephora gift card for Christmas, which apparently meant I had to go spend 3x the amount on the card itself! Oh well. Post Christmas gift to me. I did show a bit of restraint and walked away with only three lovely items (I could have spent much, muuuuuch more).

1. The first thing I wanted to buy was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Champagne. I've been eager to pick this up since watching Ingrid wear it almost every day during "Vlogmas." It's an eye shadow primer with a twist. It not only enhances and extends the life of shadows, it adds a beautiful 'champagne' sheen to the eyes. It's hard to explain, but it just adds and instant brightness and glow. I've worn it every day since I've picked it up and I'm pretty obsessed.

2. Next is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe. I finally decided to give into the Anastasia hype and give her brow products a whirl. I'm not the most skilled with a brow pencil, but so far so good! Easy to use with a great spoolie - gotta have a great spoolie.

3. Last thing I needed to buy is not quite as exciting, but a necessity. I ran out of my usual Clinique moisturizer and wanted to give something new a try. I've heard really great things about First Aid Beauty skincare, so I picked up the oil-free Daily Face Cream. I'll report back to see how she goes.

Have you been shopping lately? What should I pick up during my next trip to Sephora?
