The Lip Product Addict Tag

8:39 PM

As an admitted YouTube addict, I always get excited when a new "tag" comes along. (For those who don't watch YouTube, a tag is essentially a list of questions that a YouTuber answers about a topic and then "tags" other YouTubers to complete them.)  So last year when EssieButton and Amelia created the Lip Product Addict Tag, I was especially intrigued as I may have a slight addiction to all things lip.

Although I may not have a YouTube channel, I decided to answer the questions in blog form!

1. What is your favorite balm or treatment? Nuxe Reve de Miel // This treatment has saved my lips this winter. You can find out more details in this blog post (but finish reading this one first ;) hehe)

2. What is your favorite eye catching red? Sephora Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color in Scarlet // Another product that I recently blogged about! Whenever I'm in the red lip mood, this has been what I've been reaching for. Just such a good formula.

3. The best luxury and drugstore product?

To answer this question, I just looked at my lip product stash and there was a clear winner in the drugstore category. I absolutely love the Revlon "balm" sticks (stains, matte balms, etc...). They are great for everyday wear and are pretty hastle-free.

Luxury: I don't own many "luxury" lip products, so I had to go with this Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Monte Carlo. My one and only Chanel purchase, and I'm pretty smitten with it. Although not an opaque lipstick, it adds a sheer wash of colour that is great for "every day."

4. Best MAC lipstick? Crosswires // I quickly became obsessed with this lipstick after I bought it last Spring. I wore it pretty much every day in April, May and June. I'm not normally a fan of coral-toned lips, but there is something special about this one!

5. Most disappointing lip product? Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Shanghai Sizzle // One of the reasons this product was so dissapointing is because I was so excited to try it! When these were released last year, they were super hyped up online. Sadly, each time I've tried to wear this formula, it just ends up looking messy and patchy on the lips. Womp womp womp.

6. Lip Liner: Yes or No? Nope. Not a lip liner girl.

7. Favorite gloss? Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Aurora // One of my favourite purchases from my Europe trip last year. I am kicking myself for not picking up more. THEY TASTE LIKE HEAVEN CANDY MARSHMELLOW KITTENS.

Yep, just like that.

8. ..Something else?! Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil // Not quite sure what I was supposed to select for this category so I am going to include a rather appetizing choice. These lip pencils by Bite are apparently created with "food-grade" quality ingredients. Although I'm not going to run out and eat them, the high-quality formula makes these super comfortable on the lips. I definitely want to pick up a couple more of these from Sephora!

What are your favourite lip products? I'd love your recommendations!
