Collection: Single Shadows

9:17 PM

Palette this, palette that - eye shadow palettes are all the rage when it comes to the beauty world. I often think of individual shadows as the less popular, but equally as beautiful, little sisters of the more hyped up shadow groupings that have taken over.

And since single shadows don't get nearly enough love, I thought I'd share my small (but mighty) eye shadow singles collection with you!

You can probably tell that there is an obvious theme to the colours I own. Golds, bronzes, taupes and purpley pinks seem to be my thing. I included both cream and powder shadows in this post, but I have to admit that the creams get much more use than the powders. I love using them as eyeshadow bases or just on their own. It's rare a day goes by that I don't end up using at least one of these shades.

Top row (from left to right): Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow in I Heart This, Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow in La La, Essence Metal Glam Eye Shadow in Golden Up, Nyx Eye Shadow in Leather and Lace, Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Black Orchid.

Bottom row (from left to right): Urban Decay Eye Shadow Duo in Sin and Mushroom, Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo in Tough as Taupe, Nyx Single Shadow in True Taupe, L'Oreal Infallible Shadow in Amber Rush, Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow in Lovely, Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in R.S.V.P.

Even though palettes may be more versatile, single shadows can be a great addition and or/foundation for a variety of eye looks.
