Peek Inside: Too Faced Le Grand Chateau (swatches)

9:02 PM

For the 2015 holiday season, Too Faced has released a Parisian themed collection of adorable holiday sets. I was very kindly sent the Le Grand Chateau gift set for consideration of review, so I thought I would give you a sneak peak into what comes in this $62 CDN set ($272 CDN value). I haven't thoroughly tested everything out yet, so this isn't a review but more of an unboxing and first impressions!

Le Grand Chateau comes packaged in, well, a grand chateau! It's a beautiful gift box (some may find it gimmicky, but I think it's gorg) which contains three separate "travel sized" palettes, each containing six eyeshadows (which are coordinated for different "looks") and either a blush or a bronzer. The kit also comes with a sample sized Better Than Sex mascara, which I have yet to experience

This kit covers a lot of base when it comes to eyeshadow. It contains shimmers, mattes, satins and full on glittery shades which cover a wide range of hues. This kit is bound to please both a neutral lover or those who enjoy a pop of colour. Initial standout shades for me include Le Marais, a creamy duo chrome beige with an unexpected pink shift and Fleur, a unique golden peach.

As far as the blushes go, I am most attracted to "Mademoiselle" right off the bat. The bronzer is sadly a bit too warm toned for my skin, but will make a lovely eyeshadow!
